Hello and welcome!

 

I’m Whitney, founder of Venture North Media LLC! My incredible journey kicked off in 2014 as a professional photographer. Coming from a small town in East Central MN, I thrive in the great outdoors with my husband and kids! When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me painting, reading, fishing, or enjoying sunny days at the lake! I absolutely love bonfires, four-wheeling, and biking. But above all, my top priorities are being a devoted mother and wife while pursuing my dream as a full-time photographer. Thanks to years of hard work and dedication, I’m finally living that dream! The life I have now is beyond I ever imagined 10-20 years ago. Despite the moments of uncertainty, I never gave up! A huge shoutout to my wonderful husband for always believing in me, and to everyone who supported me in my early days—I'm endlessly grateful to you all!

 

I'm absolutely thrilled to now work alongside my amazing husband and raise our two beautiful daughters, all while surrounded by our beloved pets!

Where my passion began~

 

As a child, I was homeschooled and faced physical limitations after an accident at age 8. You might think that's a sad story, but I see it as a journey of resilience! The challenges I faced have shaped me into the proud person I am today. This sparked a deep-rooted passion for art that flourished through my experiences. Moving in with my father at age 16 introduced me to a holistic healing approach that transformed my life! I discovered my love for art and became a strong advocate for natural medicine, giving my body the tools to heal itself, something I strive to do every day. Some might call me a "crunchy mom," now but I embrace it!  Living on the farm with my dad taught me to appreciate the simple things and instilled a strong work ethic in me. He encouraged me to walk the fields, pushing me out of my comfort zone to regain my strength. I went from struggling to walk across a room to helping him with construction jobs in the sweltering heat! This lesson has been a guiding principle in my life. My dad also gifted me my first point-and-shoot camera, and later my first DSLR, fueling my passion for photography. Despite what others said about photography being a side gig, I persevered, and now they’re asking me how I did it! In 2023, I began coaching aspiring photographers to achieve their dreams, offering advice on new plans and strategies while keeping them accountable and motivated. I love understanding their vision and helping them grow their businesses while teaching photography and editingIn my early 20s, I truly committed to becoming a full-time photographer. It was a tough journey, juggling multiple jobs to make ends meet while working as associate wedding photographer and promoting businesses throughout the Twin Cities Although it was challenging at the time, every experience has shaped me into the photographer I am today!

I am absolutely passionate about what I do, and nothing brings me more joy than making people happy! I thrive on capturing the magic of love and those precious moments shared between families, couples, siblings, grandparents, and their beloved pets. Discovering my purpose in life has been an incredible journey, and it’s all about creating art that brings joy and preserves those beautiful memories. The fulfillment I get from this work is beyond rewarding, and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else!
